             abstract = "The remote sensing applied to geology has fundamental importance 
                         to identification of estructures, geological boundaries and 
                         lithology differentation. The study area is located at the central 
                         compartment of the Rec{\^o}ncavo Basin (Bahia State, Brazil), an 
                         cretaceous aborted rift basin. The study was focused on integrated 
                         analysis of lineaments interpreted from digital terrain models, 
                         and faults mapped on 3D seismic reflection data. The low 
                         resolution of the seismic data does not sustain the structural 
                         mapping, due to the dificulty of visualization of the trace 
                         faults. Therefore, the SRTM digital terrain models were used to 
                         supply the interpretation of tectonic lineaments, developed from 
                         several frames with different directional filters, geostatistical 
                         analysis and frequency cell maps. Those terrain analysis data 
                         constraints the seismic fault mapping, facilitating the 
                         observation of the structures. The terrain analysis and seismic 
                         interpretation integrative method shown innovative results on the 
                         structural analysis of sedimentary basins to petroleum 
                         exploration.",
